The first successful pilotage by Tan Cang Pilot

On Wednesday, January 21, 2009, Saigon Newport Company (SNP) joyously celebrated the first successful pilotage carried out by the Tan Cang Pilot, guiding a vessel into Cat Lai Terminal.

Earlier, at 06:30, at the Vung Tau pilot station, Hoa Trong Chuong, a unlimited class maritime pilot from Tan Cang Pilot, officially took charge of guiding the Maersk Aberdeen vessel on its journey to Tan Cang - Cat Lai Port. With Hoa Trong Chuong's extensive expertise, the Maersk Aberdeen sailed safely, adhering to the schedule and reached Cat Lai Port at Berth B6 at 10:10 on the same day.
 
In the offices of Tan Cang Pilot, CEO Nguyen Dang Nghiem, representatives from various departments of Saigon Newport Company, and Maersk Line warmly welcomed and congratulated the Tan Cang Pilot on their successful inaugural pilotage. CEO Nguyen Dang Nghiem emphasized that the establishment of Tan Cang Pilot demonstrated Saigon Newport Company's commitment to providing comprehensive services to its customers and partner shipping lines.
 
During the reception, Mr. Paul Hoogwaest, the General Director of Maersk Line Vietnam, extended his congratulations to SNP and Tan Cang Pilot. He expressed gratitude for choosing the Maersk Aberdeen as the honored first vessel to be piloted into the Cat Lai Terminal.
 
The successful pilotage by Tan Cang Pilot marked a significant milestone in the development strategy of Saigon TNewport Company.
