With the steadfast guidance and direct leadership of the Party Committee and Board of Directors of Saigon Newport, and through the collaborative efforts of partner organizations, Tan Cang Pilot has successfully etched its brand into the international landscape, while actively participating in the global economy.
On October 27, 2009, Tan Cang Pilot marked a significant milestone as it celebrated its first year of operation. Under the unwavering leadership and guidance of the Party Committee and Board of Directors of Saigon Newport, in conjunction with the collective dedication of partner organizations, Tan Cang Pilot has carved a niche for itself as a prominent player in the global economic arena. During this inaugural year, the company achieved remarkable milestones, boasting a revenue of 30 billion VND and an impressive post-tax profit of 11 billion VND. Furthermore, it contributed a substantial 5.225 billion VND to the state budget, all the while ensuring the stability and welfare of its employees.
To this day, the proficient team at Tan Cang Pilot stands fully equipped to expertly guide a diverse range of vessels to and from Cat Lai Terminal and Cai Mep Terminal. The company has fostered a successful synergy with various agencies and units, including Maritime Administration of Ho Chi Minh, Maritime Administration of Vung Tau, Pilotco 1, and Vung Tau Pilot. This synergy guarantees the secure navigation of vessels along designated routes and ensures close cooperation with the Port Authority, the Control Center, the Tugboat Rescue Joint Stock Company, and Cai Mep Terminal Joint Stock Company, a subsidiary of Saigon Newport. This joint effort facilitates safe vessel navigation in and out of the port, expediting vessel release procedures.
The effective operation of Tan Cang Pilot - the first defense pilot company of the Army - has an important meaning in the better and better performance of the defense and economic tasks of Saigon Newport.
